Classic 19th century bleached gueridon table

A classic 19th century gueridon table in a natural bleached finish. Diameter 97cm Height 75cm This style of gueridon table has become very popular as a side or hallway table. Seen in various sizes, the most sought after is generally in the 95cm – 100cm diameter range. This size is enough to make a bold statement without consuming precious floor space. The marble top adds a note of elegance, while the bleached wood gives a natural feel to the piece. The original finish of these gueridon tables is normally a high gloss traditional French polish. In some situations, this high gloss finish is exactly what is needed to complete a more traditional decor. However, in recent years a softer, more relaxed look has evolved with this style of period furniture. By removing the French polish and bleaching the wood, a lighter more textured finish is achieved blending well with a more contemporary interior.
