FairIsle Colourwork Headband Class

Wednesdays 10th & 17th June 2026 6pm - 8:30pm This is the class you've all been waiting for! Book on to this fantastic two session workshop and let Ruth Matthews and Rachael Sterrett guide you through making this beautiful headband, designed by Rachael. Both Ruth & Rachael are experienced knitters and love fairisle and colour work - you'll pick up all the techniques you need to make your headband with plenty of guidance and support. There will be a week in between classes to give plenty of knitting time! And as always, you can pop to the shop with any problems in between. Level: this class is aimed at intermediate knitters, you should be proficient with knitting, purling; ideally you've knitted in the round but it's not essential. Materials - you will need: *the headband takes up to 7 x 25g balls of Jamiesons of Shetland Spindrift. The yarn isn't provided in the cost of the class but you can purchase on the day, we will support you to choose colours that will work well; you can bring from stash but we recommend that it is the Jamiesons of Shetland Spindrift. Attendees will enjoy 10% discount for class purchases! Part of the class will be choosing colours to work well together for background and contrasts. *3mm circular needle 24" / 60cm *stitch markers A hardcopy pattern is provided.
