Liquid Thickener (Use as Crothix)

Description: It is a versatile rheology modifier that is suitable for use in a variety of surfactant systems. It provides efficient viscosity building across a wide variety of surfactant systems. It provides efficient thickening in traditional, as well as sulfate free systems, coupled with shear thinning rheology. It has a neutral effect on foam and afterfeel. The material is supplied as a 70% active liquid product, with a use pH range of 3.5-9. Solubility: Soluble in water Source/origin: Vegetable and Petrochemical Benefits: Superior shear thinning behavior Outstanding thickening efficiency, even in sulfate free systems Excellent for clear systems Cold processing Low pH stability Salt tolerance Neutral effect on foam & feel properties Uses: Great for thickening products such as hand washes, facial cleansers, shampoos, body washes, scrubs, solid shampoo Application: Use at 1.0 – 5.0 % of the total weight in liquid soap and shampoo. As you stir, bubbles will form. Let the soap or shampoo sit for a few hours and those bubbles will disappear. For external use only. How to Work with It: Thickener Liquid is pretty flexible when it comes to incorporating it into our formulations. Thickener Liquid can be added at the very end of the making process, adding approximately 1% at a time and stirring gently between additions until the desired final consistency has been reached. Thickener Liquid can also be included in formulations right from the start and can be hot or cold processed. Keep in mind that the amount of thickener liquid required to thicken a formulation can vary with the essential oil and/or fragrance oil used.
