Vintage Poppy Flower Brooch from WWII Navy WAVES Family Estate | Midcentury Red Floral Pin | Memorial / Remembrance Style Jewelry
This brooch was acquired from the south Minneapolis family estate of Sylvia Muriel Franson, a member of the U.S. Navy WAVES during WWII. The Franson family owned the home for nearly a century, and five siblings from the family served during the war. While I cannot confirm this piece as an official remembrance poppy, its vivid red petals strongly evoke the memorial poppies distributed in remembrance observances throughout the mid-20th century. 1.75"x1.75"x.5"
