2026 1oz Perth Mint Gold Swan Coin
The Australian Swan is one of the Perth Mint’s most popular limited mintage bullion series, and the 2026 release marks a milestone. This is the tenth design in the programme, recognised with a special “P10” mintmark struck onto the reverse, commemorating a decade of the Swan series. Designed by Aleysha Howarth, the reverse depicts a magnificent swan in full flight, soaring above a picturesque lake set within a tranquil countryside. Wings spread wide, the bird commands the composition with effortless grace. Behind it, a brilliant sky stretches across the horizon, drifting clouds adding depth and atmosphere to the scene. The inscription “2026 1oz 9999 AUSTRALIAN GOLD SWAN” and the commemorative “P10” mintmark complete the reverse. The obverse carries the Dan Thorne effigy of His Majesty King Charles III, along with the coin’s face value of $100 AUD, confirming it as Australian legal tender. Struck in 1oz of 9999 pure gold, this is a coin of the highest precious metal quality available. For additional authenticity, a micro-laser engraved letter is incorporated into the design – detectable under a magnifying glass and designed to make the coin significantly more difficult to counterfeit. The Australian Swan is found in wetlands, river estuaries, bays and great lakes throughout the country, from east to west coast. Where conditions allow, swans are sedentary and deeply territorial. When wetlands dry out, they take flight across vast distances in search of new habitat — a creature of both stillness and extraordinary capability. The series celebrates this remarkable native bird in one of the finest forms a collector can own. With a maximum mintage of just 5,000 worldwide and availability strictly limited to Australia and New Zealand, the 2026 Swan is among the most exclusive releases in the Perth Mint’s bullion calendar. Each coin is presented in a protective acrylic capsule.
