Abstract Mosaic Workshop with Colette & Christina - Sunday, June 14

DATE & TIME Sunday, June 14th, 2026 2:00-4:30 pm LOCATION Country Cut Flowers 970 Miller's Sideroad Newmarket, ON L3Y 4V9 Join Colette and Christina for an afternoon of creative expression as you make your gorgeous pieces of mosaic artwork. Mosaic art is a uniquely beautiful form of artwork because the maker takes broken fragments and creates something new. We will be working with ceramic and glass tiles and broken China, arranging them on wooden serving trays (approx. 10/12 x12) or wooden coasters (4x4) - your choice! You will be designing, gluing and grouting, limited only by your imagination. Sample ideas will be available. You will choose between designing a serving tray or at least 2 coasters (up to 4 if you are very fast!). And when you're done you can cut a little posy of flowers. Please join Colette & Christina Tanel, artists, and flower farmer, Janet at her beautiful flower farm outside of Newmarket for a fun afternoon. Light and yummy refreshments will also be provided. The workshop includes all materials, but if you have some broken China or small tiles of your own, please feel free to bring them along. Of note, the pictures are samples only - they will vary by the materials on hand and those that you bring. Light snacks and warm refreshments will be provided. We would love to see you here! No refunds or pets, although service animals are always welcome. If you can't attend, you can transfer your ticket to someone else. Minimum class size of five. All skill levels welcome.
