Silver hammered band ring with citrine
A wider 5mm band, hammered with linear textures, paired with a small 3mm citrine the colour of warm honey. It’s quite a simple combination, but it has a very different feel to some of the others, a bit softer, a bit warmer. I normally gravitate towards blues and greens as you may well have spotted so a bit of gold makes it stand out for me. It’s the kind of ring I imagine being worn every day. Something that catches the light in summer, but still brings a bit of brightness on greyer days. This ring is currently a size N but can be made to order in any size. This piece is part of my 52 Ring Project, a personal challenge inspired by rediscovering a long-forgotten collection of gemstones. After moving to Dorset, I unpacked two boxes of stones that had remained untouched for several years — some of which I have owned for over fifteen years. After carefully sorting and organising them by type, size and colour, I decided to bring them back into use by creating one ring each week over the course of a year. Each ring in the collection is made using a different gemstone, giving every piece its own character and story.
