Kaweco DIY Sport Glow Pen Making Event - In Store 5th - 25th November 2026. Out of this world We are ready to take off with Kaweco's new Do It Yourself variant for 2026: a Glow-in the-Dark fountain pen. Charge the translucent green pen up with either natural or UV light to see it from its best side – as the shining eye-catcher in your pencil case, bag, or cosied up under the blanket! The silver elements emphasise the cool character of the otherworldly colour. Make your own Kaweco The DIY Sport pens are offered in a limited edition colour each year and available exclusively in stationery and retail stores as a DIY product (they cannot be purchased online). So, we are thrilled to be one of the places where you can assemble your own pen. Available for a limited time only, the pen-making event will be available in-store at Snowhome from 5th - 25th November 2026. Purchasing a pen-making ticket will reserve you a pen kit in the nib width of your choice, allowing you (or your lucky recipient) to come into our York shop to make the pen anytime from the 5th to the 25th November. * Kaweco Sport fountain pens are made of high-quality plastic. Instead of using fully automated machines, Kaweco's writing instruments are assembled by hand every day in their factory in Nuremberg. Slip into their shoes with the Kaweco DIY Sport and build your own fountain pen. You can choose between three nib sizes, ranging from fine (F), medium (M) to broad (B). If you’re not sure which size you want or need, we recommend the nib size M. All nibs and the entire fountain pen are made in Germany. The writing instrument is ready for use with an ink cartridge in their beautiful Royal Blue colour. If you fancy customising your pen even more, we have a wide range of the Kaweco ink cartridges, the mini converter, pen clips in gold or silver and Kaweco carry tins/ pouches to select from. The pen is the same iconic compact size offered by all of their Sport fountain pen ranges measuring 10.8 cm long closed ( 12.7 cm when posted with the cap) by 13mm diameter. It is finished with stylish silver coloured cap top and Kaweco logo. Kaweco DIY Sport Purchases - Important Notes * By purchasing a pen making ticket you are buying the kit to make a pen in the nib width of your choice. Pens must be made by you (or a friend/family member) at Snowhome, 42 Gillygate York YO31 7EQ from 5th - 25th November 2026. Please note, the pens cannot be made-up and posted out by our staff and are not available to purchase online. So, please do not buy a pen-making ticket unless you/ your recipient are able to visit the shop over these dates. Tickets have no cash value, cannot exchanged and are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled by Snowhome. All ticket holders will receive a printed pen-making ticket, these also offer a lovely way to share the event for anyone you are gifting the pen-making to. You can select to have your ticket posted or as a pick-it-up in store option at the checkout. The pen-making will be available 5th - 25th November 2025 during our usual opening hours. During busy periods you may need to wait for a member of our team to be available to offer the pen-making.
