A second firing completes each piece, with the white glaze over the darker base bringing definition to the decorative details and edges of the piece. Each is unique in both form and decoration, with dotted textures that nod to Emily's passion for eighteenth-century creamware, while the expressive cobalt brushwork draws inspiration from early English delftware and hints of chinoiserie.
