Two Fancy Early Antique Keyhole Saws 1.Turned Bone 2. Boxwood 18th/early 19th century Both are unmarked Turned bone is 7 inches with 4 7/8 inch blade Boxwood is 8 1/4 inches with 5 inch blade A size like these are typical of a pad saw or fine joiner's saw from about 1800–1850. The solid bone with a warm patina could date from roughly 1780–1840 Two attractive early antique keyhole saws featuring beautifully turned handles with rich patina from age and use. Both retain their original narrow blades and display the character expected of well-used 19th-century woodworking tools. These make an excellent addition to a collection of early edge tools or antique carpenter's tools and also display beautifully. Please examine the photos for condition and dimensions.
