Recovered History Hand-Blown Glass Vase (8.5in/22cm)

David Valner finds beauty where most glassmakers see only waste, and puts it to work in the studio through his Recovered History series. Each hand-blown vase begins with discarded colored glass and imperfect vessels, which are remelted, cracked, and blown anew by hand. The result is a singular composition whose richly layered surface preserves the visual history of the Czech glassworks from which it came.
