With Henri Dufrères the company’s next generation lays a foundation for the future by reaching into the past for wines that will never go out of style. Vinified with sustainably farmed Chardonnay and Gamay from the Mâcon, and aged in stainless steel tanks, these are wines that speak clearly of the region’s legendary clay-limestone soils. The Henri Dufrères Coteaux Bourguignons is 100% Gamay, fermented and raised in stainless steel. As is often the case with Gamay planted in limestone, this leans towards bright cherry and raspberry with a distinct black pepper edge in the finish. This is a lovely bottle and a terrific value
