About this winery The name "1924" refers to the American Prohibition era and the year the Delicato family, owners of this brand, planted the first vineyards in Lodi, California. Lodi is warm enough to produce beautifully ripe grapes, while cool nights add extra depth of flavour, the best of both worlds. What truly sets 1924 Wines apart is the barrel ageing. Traditional oak barrels for the Buttery Chardonnay and some reds get Bourbon and Whiskey barrel ageing. Surprising, unique and incredibly flavourful.
