The Mary-Jane foot-strap across the children's beach ballerinas are for aesthetic value, with little practical purpose. They are not an essential feature. Should they snap due to being over-stretched, the beach shoes can be worn regardless. However, you can purchase extra Children's foot-bands, to be worn over our Beach Ballerinas when walking in water or swimming, to secure them. When not wearing them on the feet we advise to wear them as bracelets, so as not to lose them. Our children's foot-bands are embossed with the words: PRINCESS and feature a row of stars.
