Vignerons d’Estézargues, Cuvée des Galets Rouge 2023

This is a wine that has become a firm favourite in London wine bars - for very good reason. Pure drinking pleasure, with crunchy berry fruit, liquorice and pepper appeal, and that fresh natural style that goes down very easily indeed. From a fab Southern Rhone cooperative representing just ten growers, the name pays homage to the pebble (galets) strewn clay terraces of the Gard between Avignon and Nîmes. Typical Southern Rhone blend of Grenache (roughly 50%) with Syrah and Carignan in equal measure.
