The Little Reader's Society Level 4: 6:00 PM

The Little Readers Society | Level 4 Mondays 6:00–6:50 PM Level 4 is the final step in our Little Readers phonics pathway, designed to strengthen reading fluency while introducing more advanced spelling patterns that children encounter in everyday books. Led by an Ontario Certified Teacher, this six-week program helps children apply everything they've learned in Levels 1–3 while building confidence with longer words, more complex vowel patterns, and increasingly fluent reading. Each week, children will: 📖 Build reading fluency through targeted decodable passages matched to each week's learning 🔤 Review and strengthen digraphs and Magic E patterns to build automaticity ✨ Learn advanced phonics concepts including vowel teams (ai, ee, oa, ay, ea and more) and r-controlled vowels (ar, er, ir, or, ur) ✍️ Develop stronger writing skills through word building, dictation, sentence writing, and guided writing activities 🧩 Strengthen decoding strategies by applying new phonics patterns in both reading and writing Each child receives a take-home student journal filled with weekly decodable passages, word-building activities, and writing prompts to continue practicing at home between classes. More than just a phonics class, Level 4 gives young readers the confidence and tools they need to transition into increasingly independent reading.
