Red Ribbons Daylily
Red Ribbons Daylily Huge, swirling, ribbon-like blooms held on tall scapes make ‘Red Ribbons’ an eye-catching daylily in the garden. Its long, thin petals and sepals make it a perfect example of a “spider” type daylily. Long, thin, bright red petals create a bloom that is about 8" in diameter. Held on sturdy scapes nearly 4' tall in our East Tennessee garden, this stunning daylily always catches the eyes of our garden visitors. As a mid season bloomer, we begin to see the striking blooms of Red Ribbons around the middle of June. If you live to our north, you'll see them a bit after we do. If you live to our south, you'll notice them a couple of weeks before us. Red Ribbons is an evergreen daylily. This means it can be grown in gardens across the country. Plant Red Ribbons practically anywhere in the sunny summer garden and it will make itself seen! We think it looks especially gorgeous when planted with bright gold double daylilies as they contrast with its long, thin petals to highlight the spider-type form. • Visit our YouTube channel to see all our videos on daylilies.
