David Seyfried Chippendale Sofa, 2.5 Seater — Ex-Display

The Chippendale is one of David Seyfried’s most enduring designs — a camelback sofa with scrolled arms and square mahogany legs, drawn from the eighteenth-century original and made today exactly as it was then, by hand, in England. Ours is upholstered in a leopard-print weave: a knowing pairing of the most formal of frames with the least solemn of cloths, and all the better for it. Beneath the fabric is a beech hardwood frame and duck-feather-filled seat cushioning — furniture built for decades of use, not seasons. This sofa has been a display piece in our showroom and is offered as seen, complete with thirteen metres of fabric valued at £1,585, included in the price. One only.
