The Sd.Kfz. 251/9 was a fire-support variant of the famous German Sd.Kfz. 251 half-track, armed with a short-barreled 7.5 cm gun to provide direct fire support for Panzergrenadier units. This completed model represents the later Ausf. D configuration and is finished in a distinctive three-tone German WWII camouflage scheme over a Dunkelgelb base, with green and red-brown camouflage areas. Painting & Weathering The exterior features a hand-applied three-tone camouflage finish complemented by realistic operational weathering. Subtle paint wear, chipping, grime, streaking and accumulated dirt have been added around the armor panels, running gear, tracks and high-wear areas. Tracks, road wheels and tires are individually weathered to give the vehicle a convincing field-used appearance while retaining the camouflage and fine surface details.
