Large Edwardian Oak Library Bookcase / Display Shelving

A handsome Edwardian oak library bookcase of unusually generous proportions, featuring a moulded top above nine fixed open shelves, arranged symmetrically across three sections and raised on a substantial plinth base. The low, wide form gives the piece a wonderfully architectural presence. Ideal as a library bookcase or for displaying ceramics, sculpture, art books and collected objects. It would also make a striking shop, studio or gallery display piece. The oak has developed a rich, timeworn patina, with surface marks and wear consistent with its age.
