A unique hand-stitched appliqué textile, made in the 1930s for a Bedouin-style tent in the grounds of a country house in the South of England. Constructed from hand-appliquéd cotton on a linen backing. The bold Middle Eastern-inspired design, in rich indigo, ochre and natural tones, makes this a striking and unusual decorative wall hanging with an appealing provenance.
