Antique Imperial Glass Mephistopheles Vase

Exceptional vintage vase made from highly iridescent carnival glass with a horned figure on two sides. This is the Mephistopheles design by Imperial Glass company, which they copied from a 19th century design by the French company Vallerysthal. This pattern exists in all kinds of colors and finishes- even plain milk glass- but it’s rare to find this color with this level of iridescence. I love the way it flashes green and purple in the light, like a piece of fluorite or labradorite. Refer to photos for size and condition. Very good; no flaws observed.
