DUTCH 20TH CENTURY SILVER CHATELAINE FOB & KEY SET
A stylish Dutch chatelaine fob & key set, likely from the early 20th century. Made from 835 silver; the fob and key have gorgeous studded frames with granulated centres, which was a typical design of the first part of 19th century onwards. The base of the fobs are smooth silver, with a pretty faceted edge. The fob and key hang from a chunky steel bolt ring, which makes it easy to add these to any chain or link. It can also be removed to wear separately. Hallmarked with multiple marks including the Dutch sword to confirm 835 silver, and N10 which was a makers mark for Gebr. Niekerk, a popular Dutch silversmith founded in the mid 19th century. The fobs can be worn together for a striking look, but can also be easily separated and added to different areas of your chain. A very cool item.
