BIOKIL AquaDry UltraForce Masonry Water Repellent One-Coat Hydrophobic Protection for External Masonry BIOKIL AquaDry UltraForce is a high-performance, solvent-borne masonry water repellent designed to protect external walls against penetrating damp and moisture ingress. The ready-to-use treatment penetrates deeply into brick, stone, mortar and other mineral surfaces, creating an invisible hydrophobic barrier that powerfully repels rainwater. The vapour-permeable treatment allows moisture within the masonry to escape naturally without changing the colour or appearance of the substrate. Applied as one generous coat in most situations, UltraForce provides strong water-beading performance and long-lasting protection for exposed masonry, including heritage buildings. Key Features & Benefits Protects external masonry against penetrating damp and moisture ingress High-performance solvent-borne formulation Creates a fully breathable, vapour-permeable barrier Provides strong water-beading performance Offers hydrophobic protection for up to 30 years Normally requires only one generous coat Penetrates deeply into porous mineral substrates Dries to an invisible finish Does not alter the colour or appearance of suitable surfaces Helps protect masonry against freeze-thaw damage Reduces moisture retention that can encourage moss, mould and organic growth Helps minimise efflorescence and surface salt staining Reduces dirt absorption to help keep buildings cleaner May help reduce cold spots and condensation on external walls Helps reduce evaporative heat loss by keeping walls drier Ready to use without dilution or mixing Suitable for brush or low-pressure spray application Suitable Surfaces Brickwork Limestone Sandstone Granite Slate Concrete Cementitious mortar Lime-based mortar Other suitable porous mineral surfaces Typical Applications External brick, stone and masonry walls Chimneys Parapet walls Buttresses Coping stones and cappings Exposed architectural stonework Vertically constructed masonry Steeply raked masonry surfaces Heritage buildings requiring invisible protection Properties exposed to driving rain Surface Preparation All receiving surfaces must be structurally sound, clean and completely dry before treatment. Remove loose material, dirt, moss, mould and other contamination by brushing or using a suitably gentle cleaning method. Treat any remaining organic growth with an appropriate biocidal wash. Rake out and repair cracked, loose or defective mortar joints before applying UltraForce, allowing all repairs to dry fully. Mask windows, doors, glazing, vents, vehicles and surrounding surfaces to protect them from overspray. Openings, vents and gaps should be temporarily sealed where necessary to prevent the product from entering the building. Application Ensure the prepared substrate has remained completely dry for at least 24 hours. Check that rain is not expected during application or for at least 24 hours afterwards. Apply the ready-to-use product using a brush or low-pressure sprayer. Begin at the top of the surface and work downwards to control runs. Apply one generous, even coat to refusal, allowing the product to penetrate the masonry. Brush out runs and excess material to achieve even coverage. Allow the treatment to cure fully and protect it from light rain until dry. A second coat is only required on exceptionally porous surfaces. Where another coat is necessary, allow 48 hours between applications. When spraying, avoid working directly overhead. Work to the left or right of the application path and take precautions to prevent overspray from reaching glazing, vehicles or neighbouring surfaces. Coverage Approximate coverage is 4–8 m² per litre per coat. Actual consumption will vary depending on the porosity, texture and condition of the receiving surface.
