Postmodern Pewter & Mother of Pearl Footed Bowl. Early 2000s.

A gorgeous postmodern pewter bowl that I, as an avid fan of the late Carrol Boyes and her designs, could not walk away from. With its wonderfully crude and characterful scrolled feet and the unmistakable alloy of choice, I would say it is very much in the spirit of Boyes. What really sets this piece apart are the inlaid mother of pearl squares that form a perimeter to the inner walls. The whole design is really quite typical of the postmodernist movement of the late 90s/early 2000s, and with an amazing patina to boot. Some marks commensurate with age and use, but otherwise in fantastic condition. Specifications: Height: 9.3cm / Diameter: 25.7cm
