In this class, students will learn how to design and build a basic pendant form that securely holds a spinning component—resulting in a piece with a creative, hypnotic, magical sense of movement. Patrik Kusek will guide students through construction, fit, and assembly considerations so the acrylic component spins smoothly and the finished pendant is clean, balanced, and wearable. In this class, students will learn: ∙How to design a Radiance-style pendant that highlights movement and light ∙Building a strong, refined metal clay pendant base ∙Creating the correct seat/channel and clearances for an acrylic spinner ∙How to assemble the pendant so the acrylic element spins freely and stays secure ∙Finishing techniques to keep edges comfortable and surfaces crisp and polished ∙Final assembly and wearable details (bail placement, balance, and durability) Kit Fee: $100 — Basic metal clay tool kits will be available for use.
