COB stands for Chip on Board. The construction puts the chips on the board and covers them with a single phosphor film, so what you see lit is an even ribbon rather than a series of bright points. 6500K is the coolest option here — a clean cool white with a faint blue edge, showing colour much as daylight does. 24V DC · 480 chips/m · 7.5W/m · 723 lm/m · Ra>90 · 10mm × 2mm · IP20 indoor · cut every 50mm · 7-year guarantee How much strip will one feed support? Twenty metres at 24V. Two things allow it: a draw of 0.3125A per metre, 6.25A over the full length, and 3oz copper at 105 microns where most tape uses 35. Thin copper is why cheaper strip fades. Which power supply suits it? Calculate metres × 7.5W for the load, allow another 25%, then choose the next size up. The supply has to be constant voltage; constant-current units carry the same label but drive the strip badly and shift its colour. Five metres wants a 60W supply, ten metres a 100W, and twenty metres a 200W. Can it be trimmed to size on site? It can. Cut lines fall on copper pads at 50mm spacing and a trimmed length performs as the reel did. The 150mm lead is attached. Unroll the whole run before powering it — heat builds inside a coil and is a fire hazard. What does the IP20 rating exclude? Every wet application. IP20 means no ingress protection, so this belongs indoors and dry: wardrobes, cabinets, display cases, coves. For bathrooms, outdoor runs or above a hob, choose IP67 instead. Confirm the internal channel of any profile you plan to use. Which is whiter, 5000K or 6500K? 6500K. Where 5000K reads as clean neutral white, 6500K carries a slight blue edge and sits closest to midday light. Side by side the difference is obvious; alone, most people simply register 6500K as brighter, though output is the same. Right for: dressing rooms and wardrobes, display cabinets, retail, garages and workshops. Lengths are cut to your specific requirement from a 20 metre roll before dispatch. A single feed at one end drives the full 20 metres, with brightness holding end to end.
