INA226 I2C Voltage Current and Power Monitor Module
The INA226 I2C Voltage Current and Power Monitor Module is a high-precision digital power monitoring solution based on the INA226 current-shunt and power monitor IC. It measures bus voltage, current and power and communicates the measurement data digitally through the I2C interface, making it easy to integrate with Arduino, ESP32, Raspberry Pi, STM32 and other microcontroller platforms. With 16-bit measurement resolution, programmable conversion settings and support for both high-side and low-side current sensing, the INA226 Voltage Current Power Monitor is suitable for applications where accurate electrical monitoring is required. The device can monitor bus voltages from 0V to 36V, while the module’s actual current measurement capability depends on the onboard shunt resistor and its configuration. The INA226 I2C Current Sensor Module supports bidirectional current measurement, allowing it to monitor both current flowing into and out of a load. This makes it particularly useful for battery charge/discharge monitoring, DC power supplies, solar systems, battery-powered equipment, robotics, IoT devices and energy monitoring projects. Features: High-precision INA226 current and power monitoring IC 16-bit ADC resolution Measures voltage, current and power I2C / SMBus digital interface Supports 0V to 36V bus voltage measurement Supports both high-side and low-side current sensing Bidirectional current measurement Programmable I2C address for connecting multiple modules Programmable conversion time and averaging Low power consumption Alert output for programmable monitoring conditions Compatible with Arduino, ESP32, Raspberry Pi, STM32 and other I2C-enabled controllers Suitable for battery and DC power monitoring applications Specifications: Sensor IC: INA226 Sensor Type: Current, Voltage & Power Monitor Measurement Resolution: 16-bit Bus Voltage Measurement: 0V to 36V Interface: I2C / SMBus Supply Voltage: 2.7V to 5.5V Current Measurement: Bidirectional Current Range: Depends on onboard shunt resistor; commonly configured up to ±20A Sensing Method: High-Side / Low-Side I2C Addresses: Up to 16 programmable addresses Gain Error: Up to ±0.1% for INA226 IC Input Offset: Up to ±10µV Alert Output: Yes Compatible Controllers: Arduino, ESP32, Raspberry Pi, STM32 Module Type: Breakout / Sensor Module Note: The maximum measurable current is determined by the shunt resistor fitted on the particular module.
