The closed scales give them a smooth, refined texture, while their interwoven fiber structure—distinct from the parallel fibers of traditional leather—makes them even stronger than cowhide. Once discarded as a food by-product, these skins are a eco-friendly and sustainable quality to use for any small and large leather projects.
