This special collaboration with Japanese fashion brand United Arrows, themed “Open the Gate Fly Free,” nods to the idea of opening a new door for those who have yet to discover the world of sake, inviting them to enjoy the culture as freely as the mythical bird. Roughly 80% of the kakemai comes from the local rice variety Nikomaru, with about 20% Yamadanishiki used for the koji, together with natural house yeast, forming a never-before-used recipe. This is designed to keep HIRAN’s hallmark trio of bright sweetness, acidity and juiciness while making the flavour immediately accessible, even for those drinking sake for the first time. The nose shows HIRAN’s characteristic, expressive fruitiness, associating with ripe citrus, tropical fruit and a soft lactic nuance, for an aromatic profile that is vivid and translucent.
