The INFWIN PYR20 is a pyranometer (solar radiation sensor) with RS485/Modbus-RTU, analog voltage, or analog current output, measuring global solar irradiance - both direct and diffuse. Internal temperature compensation minimizes the error caused by self-heating of the sensor. Each unit is calibrated against an Eppley Precision Spectral Pyranometer for excellent accuracy and consistency. Range, power supply, output interface, and cable length are configurable via ordering code - the default variant (PYR20-AAC002) ships with a 0–2000 W/m² range, RS485/Modbus-RTU output, 3.9–30V DC supply, and a 2 m cable. A spring-loaded mounting bracket with a built-in level indicator makes it straightforward to install the sensor level and pointed skyward. Reverse power protection and built-in TVS/ESD protection are included. Key Features Reference-calibrated: Each sensor calibrated against an Eppley Precision Spectral Pyranometer for high accuracy and consistency across units Temperature compensated: Internal compensation minimizes self-heating error Broad spectral range: 400–1100 nm, covering the solar spectrum relevant to photovoltaic and plant growth applications Flexible output interface: RS485/Modbus-RTU, RS485 + analog voltage, RS485 + analog current, analog voltage 0–2V, analog current 4–20mA, or SDI-12 (see ordering code) Level indicator and spring-loaded mount: Simplifies accurate, level installation Weatherproof: IP66 rated for direct outdoor use Wide operating range: −40°C to +85°C Reverse power protection: Built-in TVS/ESD protection RS485 Modbus-RTU protocol: Standard Modbus register map; configurable slave address, baud rate, parity, and stop bits Configuration utility: SensorOneSet software included for sensor configuration via RS485 Cable length: 2 m standard; custom lengths available Applications Scientific research Solar power monitoring and photovoltaic system performance Greenhouse and horticultural light management Weather stations Important Notes Directional error grows off-axis: ±3% of reading from 0–70° incidence, widening to ±10% from 70–85° - mount the sensor level and unshaded for best accuracy. 4–20mA output requires 12–30V DC supply; the 3.9–30V DC and 2.7–16V DC supply options are not compatible with 4–20mA output. Mounts via three screw holes.
