The Moon Rabbit

In The Moon Rabbit, a little girl pesters her mother to once again tell her favourite bedtime tale. It is the story of a land blighted by ten scorching suns, where an immortal empress and her husband, a brave archer, seek to defy the suns. The archer shoots down nine of the suns and in return a goddess grants him eternal life if he drinks a potion. However, the potion is drunk by the empress…. This story is beautifully rendered in words by Eva Wang Nava with wonderful illustrations by Jason Cheung. This traditional folk tale is closely associated with the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival.
