Island Coffee - Limited Release A rare coffee from a small island rising out of Lake Kivu. Just beyond our washing station, on the waters between Rwanda and Congo, sits a small island where coffee trees grow surrounded by the beauty of Lake Kivu. Brought to you by dug-out canoe, this is where our newest limited-release coffee begins. Rooted in rich volcanic soil and cooled by lake air, Kivu Island is shaped by a growing environment unlike any other coffee we offer. The result is a cup that's sweet, soft, and remarkably clean. For nearly 20 years, our relationships in Rwanda have connected us to remarkable coffees and the people and places behind them. Kivu Island is one of those special finds — and one we only receive in limited quantities. There isn't much of it, and that's part of what makes it special. Once this lot is gone, it's gone until next harvest.
