Corsi A. for J.B. Hirsch Co. Ashtray
This midcentury Italian porcelain ashtray, signed "Corsi A." and inscribed "Designed Specially for J.B. Hirsch Co." on the base, was handpainted in Italy during the 1960s for the prominent New York importer J.B. Hirsch Co., which specialized in bringing fine European decorative arts to American high-end markets. Although J.B. Hirsch imports are well-known, finding a piece with this particular "Corsi A." signature is a rarity. Originally created as a luxury tabletop smoking accessory, its Neoclassical and Rococo-inspired craftsmanship makes it a striking decorative catchall or vanity trinket dish today. Sourced in Concord, Massachusetts. Dimensions: 5.25"W, 2.5"H
