Hafiz’s Peacocks pencil case

This glorious design comes from the revered artisans at Sangorski & Sutcliffe. Crafted in 1910 to house a collection of works entitled Háfiz̤ of Shíráz: Selections from His Poems, it features three stunningly bejewelled peacocks, each inlaid in eight different colours and embellished with foliage and gold tooling. Case size 22 x 6.5 x 2.8 cm when closed.
