Beginning-Intermediate Handbuilding, Sculpture and Plaster Mold Making with Jayme Vineyard: Monday Mornings This is a 6 week beginning and Intermediate ceramic sculpture and plaster sprig mold making. We will go over sculpture construction, mold making and surface design so you can bring your ideas to life! Week 1: We will start by working on sketches and discussing the steps necessary to begin your project. Students will work on 1-2 pieces during this class. Week 2: Sprig mold demonstration and making. Week 3: Sprig mold using and continued work on coil project Week 4: Demo on multi- component form making Week 5: Demonstration on surface design with glaze, underglaze, and interactive Pigments. Week 6: Final glaze and review Price: $275 per person and includes clay for sculptures, plaster for molds, glaze, underglaze, and firing. Students 16 and older are welcome. Mature preteens must attend with an adult who is also registered for the class. Materials and Supplies: You will need to have a basic tool kit for the class. We also recommend that you have these additional handbuilding tools, which we will have available as a kit in our store if you do not have them already. Open Studio is either held Sundays 10am-4pm or Wednesdays 11am-3pm. Students may choose 1 session per week to practice what you are learning in class. Cancelation Policy: If you need to cancel due to any reason, Wildling needs two full weeks before the class start date for you to receive credit towards another class and 4 weeks to receive a full refund. This class is subject to cancellation if signups are below our 4-person minimum. In this case you will be notified at least 3 days before the class is set to begin. Wildling Collaborative Arts is an Artists Collective in Eugene OR founded in 2023. We offer a membership ceramics studio which is the only 24/7 ceramics studio in Eugene. Wildling was found by local Eugene Artists with the intention of creating a community space that is accessible and inclusive. Wildling provides a living wage to all of their employees, giving local artist a dependable salary so they can support their families and the local economy. We host workshops and classes in our large classroom space as well as offer private studios for local small businesses in Eugene. We are active in the Whitaker community and participate in the Whitaker Last Friday Art Walk. Wildling Collaborative Arts is an accessible and inclusive space.
