Joia 2026

Resin and citrus share the nose, complex and layered, with a sweet, tangy edge running underneath. The first sip carries the full character of the wet hops: a bitterness that is assertive yet soft, coating the whole tongue. Lighter citrus runs beneath it, while a herbal, resinous lift builds through the middle and carries into a long, dry finish. “Last year we brewed Joia, our first wet hop beer, using Chinook hops from the Biolupulus field just down the road in Llagostera. It was such a favourite with everyone here at the brewery and we’ve been really looking forward to Joia 2026. This Chinook was harvested and 40 minutes later it was already infusing in the wort. The aromas coming out of the brew were incredibly intense, bright and fresh. It’s so cool to be able to brew this seasonal beer to celebrate the end of the summer and the hop harvest, and we are lucky to have such good hops cultivated near us.”
