Fine natural quartz crystals with this level of clarity are increasingly rare as historic Arkansas mines reach deeper, harder-to-access deposits. Arkansas has been the primary domestic source of quartz crystals in the United States since the 1800s, with the Ouachita Mountain region producing some of the world's finest specimens.
