Letters are different: b and d are the same shape facing opposite ways. Mixing them up is a normal stage up to about age 7, and children move past it by practising direction on the board, on paper and in symbols. Stage 1 · Body (Stickman in Action)Copying a pose from a card means working out which arm is up and which leg is bent. Naming each side aloud ("left arm up, right knee bent") makes left and right something the child can see on a body. Stage 2 · Space (Hungry Caterpillar Direction Quest)Moving the caterpillar square by square — two up, one left — takes direction off the body and onto the board, turning direction words into movement. Stage 3 · Symbols (Direction Detective)Reading arrow tiles and arranging them to match a pattern brings direction into symbols: which way does this arrow point? No toy can promise that. Reversals are common up to about age 7. The bundle gives your child a daily way to practise direction and order, the skills that help letters settle the right way round.
