Sorae

Sorae brings Diem’s gryvern from Penn Cole’s Kindred’s Curse Saga into a sculptural bag charm. Created as part of the officially licensed MELINA BUCHER × Penn Cole collaboration, the design translates the fictional companion into a tactile, handcrafted object. The gryvern is constructed from layered vegan leather and vegan suede. Hand-stitched details define the wings, body and characteristic silhouette, while a plant-based hemp textile creates the tactile, fur-like texture of Sorae’s lion features. Contrasting surfaces give the small-scale figure depth and dimension. Smooth vegan leather meets soft suede-like textures and the distinctive structure of the hemp textile. Finished with a metal ring, Sorae can be attached to a handbag, key ring or strap. The charm turns a recognisable element of Diem’s world into an object designed to be carried beyond the page. Handmade in our German atelier, Sorae combines officially licensed storytelling, vegan materials and traditional bag-making craftsmanship.
