Children’s Pilot Class: Home Education Thread Ventures with Merle – Friday16th October 2026

Dates: Friday16th October 2026 Time: 10am to 2pm (9.30am setup) Each student must be accompanied by a suitable adult to provide support as needed. Adults may bring their own project to work on independently if sufficient space is available. Minimum age of student: 10 years and over. Focus of this workshop: This session is a pilot to gauge interest in a regular sewing group for home education students. Suggested schedule for 2027, 3rd Friday of the month (Feb-Nov) BYOP (Bring Your Own Project) to work on, ask the facilitator questions when you get stuck. BYO sewing machine and get to know it more or hire a machine for an extra $5 per session. Please note, this is not a structured class with assignments, but rather an opportunity to explore sewing and making your own projects. Level of sewing skill required for this workshop: Suitable for all skill levels. If you have not sewn before, or are unsure of what to work on, our facilitator is here for guidance.
