Medieval Siren Earrings

How would a medieval European peasant imagine a siren, or monstrous killer bird woman, to look? And would you like to wear the resulting hand-painted earrings on your earlobes? That's the question we're answering today. I like to wear these medieval siren earrings to remind myself of my feminine energy that is not just productive, but destructive too. And my terrible singing voice. For the uninitiated, sirens were thought to be beautiful bird women (or later, mermaids) that sat on rocks and sang a song that would make sailors lose their minds and crash. In medieval times, people believed that these fantastic creatures lived just overseas in other countries. A few details about these particular earrings: The earring bodies were laser cut and engraved from lightweight acrylic before being individually hand painted and sealed. Each siren earring measures about 3 inches from the top of the earring hook to the bottom of the bird feet. The earring hooks are sterling silver fill, which is safe for most people with sensitive skin.
