Rullo Antico Onde Small

The name Rullo evokes the act of rolling the hot glass on the blowpipe. The vase takes shape by blowing molten glass in the furnace; once cooled, it is cold-carved on the grinding wheel, a technique we call molatura. Onde is the name of this carving: long, flowing ridges that wind horizontally around the vase, like the ripples of the lagoon. The cuts rise and fall, meet and split, so the surface seems set in motion. Each wave is cut by hand and no two are alike. The satin finish and soft edges catch the light, letting the Antico shade deepen in the hollows and glow on the crests. This vase is handcrafted and signed.Slight variations may occur due to the artisanal process.Dimensions: H11 cm x W10 cmCare: clean with a damp cloth. If the water leaves a mark, a little vinegar on the cloth will remove it.If unavailable or if the desired quantity is not in stock, please contact us at info@micheluzziglass.com to place an order or explore alternatives.
