DESCRIPTION Hand-woven from genuine pashmina cashmere sourced exclusively from the high-altitude Kashmir Valley, India, this shawl is produced by artisans carrying a generations-old weaving tradition. Pashmina cashmere is among the rarest natural fibers in the world — harvested from the undercoat of Changthangi goats at elevations above 14,000 feet — and its exceptionally fine micron count produces a weight and softness that no other fiber replicates. The close plain weave creates a smooth, even surface with a subtle natural sheen that deepens in warmth under light. Hand-knotted fringe finishes both short width edges, while the two long edges remain as clean, unfringed selvedge — a mark of considered, traditional construction.
