Scatterbox Cushion Lana Bolster Blue

The Scatterbox Cushion Lana Bolster Blue is a bolster cushion in blue velvet, banded with embroidered stripes in a linen blend and finished with piping along the seams. It is made in one size.A Long Roll With Piped EndsA bolster holds its shape differently from a square: the filling is packed along a roll rather than spread across a face, so it stays firm along its length and does not slump in the middle. The piping runs the full seam and around each end, which is what keeps that roll defined instead of letting the velvet bag out. The embroidered bands break the velvet into sections and stop a long plain shape looking like a cylinder of cloth.Propping It at the Head of a BedA bolster does a job no square cushion does: it sits in front of a row of pillows and holds them upright, or it runs along the back of a window seat where a square would tip forward. On a sofa it belongs in the corner rather than the middle. The filling is a fibre pad rather than feather, which is the usual choice in a bolster because it holds the roll firm rather than settling towards the ends, and it keeps its shape with an occasional shake along its length. The embroidered bands sit across the roll rather than along it, so the stripes stay visible however the bolster is turned, and a piped seam keeps them from distorting at the ends. Blue velvet is a deep tone rather than a bright one here, so it will sit against grey or oatmeal without lifting the whole scheme towards colour.Key Features: Velvet face with a plain reverse Fibre filling pad, included Designed in Ireland by Scatter Box Product Details: Product Type: Bolster Cushion Material: Velvet with linen-blend embroidered stripes Colour: Blue Finish: Removable cover with a fibre filling pad What's Included: Cushion cover with the pad Brand: Scatterbox Delivery:Nationwide delivery is available throughout Ireland.Shop The Full Cushions CollectionFor further information, please call our fabrics department by clicking here.
