Bottlepop! − X-TREME THIRST

In Bottlepop!, Rogier Ålexander looks beyond the bottle’s intended purpose. Placed on bodies, between bodies, in bedrooms, on beaches and in unfinished spaces, it becomes an accessory, a sculpture and, at times, a comic fetish. Moving between fashion, fantasy, humour and fetish, the photographs explore when beauty becomes strange, when something sexy becomes funny and when the familiar suddenly demands attention. The models and locations change, but the bottle remains the protagonist, functional, physical and open to fantasy.
