TAPIS JAUNE by Maxime Testu

Across a broad expanse of saffron and ochre, this contemporary yellow geometric painting builds energy through irregular blocks of color bordered by dense black marks at either side. Some squares hold faint decorative impressions, others remain loosely brushed, and the shifts between them keep the repeated pattern lively from edge to edge. The dark borders frame the luminous center decisively, giving the many hand-painted sections a strong outer boundary. Its richness comes from variation within repetition, where every block carries its own density, surface, and temperature. A Design by Maxime Testu.
