Entre Vinyes - Brisat Vermell 2025

(Penedes, Spain) The perfect 'gateway' orange wine. Part fermented on its skins for 15 days, this is made from old-vine Xarel-lo Vermell. This is a natural mutation of the Xarel-lo variety, pink-skinned, almost between a white and a red, with thicker skins that make it well-suited for maceration, producing copper-hued wines. It's very light in colour, almost rose-gold, crisp and fresh yet so soft and drinkable. Lovely fruity aromatic with a charming red pepper component that makes it super moreish. Made by Maria & Pep, a couple who started from scratch in 2012 after taking over some old vineyards, and have slowly built this project into the successful and experimental winery it is today.
