Acer platanoides ‘Norwegian Sunset’

Acer platanoides ‘Norwegian Sunset’ is a hardy, deciduous ornamental and specimen tree, valued for its attractive glossy foliage and outstanding autumn colour. It is an excellent choice for larger gardens, lawns, avenues and open spaces where a medium-sized feature tree is required. The leaves are dark, glossy green through spring and summer, before developing a spectacular mix of red, orange and yellow in autumn, creating a colourful seasonal display. ‘Noregian Sunset’ grows to approximately 8 metres in height with a spread of around 6 metres, making it a useful size for a wide range of gardens and landscape planting. It is also very hardy and drought tolerant once established, making it a particularly reliable choice for exposed or drier locations. Its strong shape and attractive seasonal colour make it ideal as a specimen or feature tree, planted on its own in a lawn or used as part of a larger planting scheme.
