Housed in a 40mm platinum case, the watch features a distinctive ruthenium-toned dial with an off-center display for hours and minutes, small seconds, large date, power reserve indicator, and an evocative day/night indication. At its heart is F.P. Journe’s automatic Calibre 1300, an early brass movement finished with a ruthenium coating, featuring 30 jewels and an impressive approximately 160-hour power reserve. Combining the coveted character of Journe’s early brass-movement era with an unusual complication and the dark aesthetic unique to the Ruthenium Collection, the Octa Jour/Nuit stands as one of the most distinctive and collectible executions of the early Octa.
